Monique van Bergen
Managing Director
The young team at Segment Relocation & Expat Services consists of several professionals, all highly experienced in immigration procedures. Segment Relocation & Expat Services was set up and is managed by managing director Monique van Bergen (1970) .
Monique worked for over a decade for the Dutch Immigration Service, Civil Service and the Foreign Police. More recently, she has been an expatriate consultant for a large accounting firm and an independent lecturer/trainer for various companies and local authorities. Monique has now brought this diverse experience and expertise to the Segment Group.
With her background, Monique van Bergen can offer the entire spectrum of advice needed by international companies who bring their expatriate employees to The Netherlands. The process begins with the request from overseas, to the arrival and settling in The Netherlands. Monique will recommend and arrange the most suitable residence permit for your expatriate employee in The Netherlands.

This makes him completely at home with all aspects of the migration process, and enables him to appreciate the personal implications of it all. From the preparations, removal, immigration procedures to the cultural adaptations, international (boarding)schools and the eventual departure: He has been through all of it. After his return to the Netherlands, Joost worked at several Japanese and American corporations in the automotive sector, before joining Segment several years ago. The efficient completion of all relocation formalities is his goal, and “management of expectations” his motto. “I strive to start off all new arrivals in The Netherlands, with a positive view of their new living environment.” |
Joost Zoetemeyer has extensive experience with intercontinental relocations, as a consultant, but also personally. As the youngest son in an expat family, he has travelled the globe. He has lived in Singapore, Brazil and Saudi Arabia.
